Job Responsibilities:

• Attend showrooms, press days, fashion weeks, events; cover the markets;
• Source new designers, trends, work directly with PR contacts; and develop PR contacts;
• Write assigned pieces, assist the editor-in-chief on exclusive content and pulls;
• Help shape SheBreathes.com’s unique voice and product, maintain and verify credits;
• Flexibility, good writing, and a self-starter.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years editorial experience at a magazine, online, preferably where deadlines ruled your life;
• Solid clips to show your editorial prowess — even if it’s a personal website;
• A deft editorial eye, i.e. the ability to know what belongs on SheBreathes.com and what doesn’t;
• A self-starter, great with a variety of personalities;
• The ability to act and adapt quickly, team player;
• Ability to turn around tight, witty, accurate copy while meeting daily deadlines;
• Attention to detail and an uncanny ability to multitask;
• A strong market background is preferred;
• A strong desire to be a part of an exciting team.

You must live in the tri-state area. You must be willing to travel and have a valid passport. You will be meeting directly with the editor-in-chief, DS De Carvalho. Internship Responsibilities:
- Support in-house PR rep.
- Maintain and update contact database
- Contact and work with PR Representatives, showrooms, and designers
- Maintain and update designated social media accounts.

Requirements:
- Prior experience in fashion PR or magazines and or a communications major
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be detail oriented and good at multitasking
- College student (who is able to receive credit) or recent graduate

• Writing a brief summary of the key trends/pieces of the collections you cover.  This means good writing skills and knowledge of fashion history.
• Must have access to the internet and email.
• You must be a self-starter and professional. This is imperative.
• It helps if you’ve already interned in fashion in some capacity before.

Before you apply it’s important that you’re flexible with your time. This is one of the most important aspects of this internship. We have invites to shows, parties, and showrooms and you will be asked to attend them.
